Section 1 - The Basics

  • Tagline (if applicable)

  • Optional: anonymized image of the product/tech

  • What best describes your stage?

  • If you have any current customer traction or revenues, describe briefly:

  • How much money have you raised to date?

  • Do you have existing investors? If so, what type?

Section 2 - The Problem

  • In a short paragraph, expand upon the problem you're trying to solve

  • Are there reasons why this problem hasn't been solved before?

  • Why is this a valuable problem to solve

Section 3 - The Solution

  • In a short paragraph, expand on your product/service/idea:

  • Why will this solution work?

  • What is your unique insight into this space?

  • What do you believe differently, or what hasn't been tried/noticed?

  • What are the biggest risks of your plan?

Section 4 - The Team

In this section you'll describe up to five members of your team. Please include their current position and most relevant previous experience.

Here's a couple examples:

1. CEO. Spent 5 years at venture-backed B2B SaaS company -- joined as first marketing hire, promoted to CMO, stayed until Series D.

2. VP of Merchandising. Spent 10 years running fashion jewelry brands, paid their way through college selling CutCo knives.

  • Please describe yourself and up to four other team members in this format.

  • Why do you feel that your current team (yourself included) has the right skillset to execute on your plan?

  • Briefly describe the hiring you'll need to make over the next year:


Section 5 - The Economics

  • Explain the estimated unit economics of your business:

  • What is the biggest driver contributing to longterm revenue growth in your model? Briefly describe why.

  • Share your thoughts on the overall size of the market:

  • Have you done projections of revenue for the next 5-7 years? If answered yes, describe these projections of revenue?


Section 6 - The Raise

  • How much are you raising?

  • What are the key milestones for this round?

  • What goals are you trying to hit with the money you're raising?

  • What is the current status of the round, including any terms or commitments?

  • What are the three most important things that someone would need to believe in order to make an investment?
